    I have created a small version of my blog for the front page to accomidate making StormPulse come up automatically. You can still see the normal version by clicking on Scotts Blog in the menu, or by Selecting Scott's Blog at the top of the small blog window. I also moved some other things around on the main page.

    Stormpulse has been so popular that, at least while we have storms approaching, I have made it open automatically when you open the site. Because of this, you will currently have to click on "Scott's Blog" to read this...which you must have done. Based on user comments, I have changed the menue to be automatically expanded and automatically collapse when you expand another section. Please let me know what you think.

    I have updated the site to track Gustav. Right now it does not look like it will hit florida, but it does look like it will hit the US somewhere and it might be bad. Active storms are organized a little better now.

    Sometimes when choosing the Bethany Beach DE camera you may get a grapgic pointing you towards beach-net.com. It appears that their server just can't keep up with the traffic some times. It should eventually refresh and give you the camera shot you want. Sorry Barry.

    No More Airport Camera

    In trying to update the site, it seems that PBIA is no longer giving access to their web cam. I am assuming it is due to security. I guess I will have to find some other camera close by. Unfortionaltely nothing showed the status of the airport better than the airport's camera. Update: Well, I found where the canera is supposed to be, but it does not seem to be functioning. I will leave the link up for a little while longer and we will see if it comes back.

    2007 Hurricane Season Starts With an Barry

    Well, hours into the 2007 hurricane season, Tropical storm Barry formed and was heading towards Florida. Although the bulk of this minor storm hit the Tampa Bay area, Palm Beach County (including us) received some much-needed rain. Our pond went from looking pretty dry to being almost 75% full in one day. Before the storm the drought conditions here were so bad that a portion of Lake Okeechobee's lake bed that is supposed to be under 6 feet of water caught on fire last week. They say Barry will not do much to help the overall drought conditions, but every little bit helps. Hopefully the remiander of the season will show us nothing worse than Barry.

    You may notice that I am working on a new format for the web site. These postings are now in the form of an RSS feed in case you would like to read them in your RSS application. I am also trying to update the content and make it a little more consistant. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to provide more actual weather information as it happens at my house.
